Hello everyone! It's been such a long time since I have been able to
blog. I got married a little over a year ago and things have been so
busy since then. I have since changed my last name and as such have
decided to create a brand new blog to go along with it. If you would
like to see any of my previous projects please visit

...Anyways, on to the card!
I created this card for
The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. The challenge was to use watercolors on your card. Check out all the other fabulous entries
here.
I was so excited to get my new stamp Holiday Anya 4 that I knew she
would be the center of the card. I have all of the other Holiday Anya
stamps and I love everyone of them!!
I recently got a
set of Peerless Watercolors from friend for my birthday but I haven't
been able to get the results I have in my head with them yet. I think I
just need a little more practice. I ended up using my Tim Holtz distress
inks instead for this project. I stamped the ink pads on to my craft
mat and then sprayed a water mist over them. After that I placed my
watercolor paper on top of them. The colors blended together very nicely
 I think.
I also chose to make the colors of this card
different than the traditional holiday color palette but added in some
gold glitter cardstock to still give it back some holiday magic. What do
you think? Does it still give you a sense of the holiday spirit?
Here is what I used:
The Greeting Farm's Holiday Anya 4
Copic markers
black embossing powder
Papertrey Ink cardstock
watercolor paper
Versamark ink
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, and squeezed lemonade
Lawn Fawn winter gifts sentiment
American Crafts gold glitter cardstock
rhinestones from my stash
UPDATE: Yay I won the challenge! Thanks so much to the Greeting Farm!
Thanks for stopping by!
